Right now I have the internal card set to 192.168.0.41 so it doesn't interfere with my current router (gateway). Something is preventing the Untangle box from acting as my gateway.I can't ping an internal address from untangle with only the internal card plugged in. I also can't remotely access (or even ping) the Untangle box from another machine. The firewall log only shows my RDP connection attempts. Is there somewhere in Untangle that I need to point to my PDC which handles my DNS? I'll check the logs from my initial setup/testing last night.ĮDIT: The logs don't show any traffic whatsoever. When the Untangle box is connected internally, I'm not getting any sessions or any activity from the network to the box at all. The firewall 'source port' is looking for the actual client source port, which would generally be a random high number port. Is this correct From what I can tell, it matches everything in the above pic of the dd-wrt settings. If I set it to DHCP it'll automatically find the same static addreses that I enter in manually, so everything should be ok with that. Here's what my custom firewall rule looks like in untangle at the moment. Filter by company size, industry, location & more. All the WAN addresses are correct since the Untangle box can reach the internet. 17 in-depth reviews by real users verified by Gartner in the Network Firewalls market. External IP is set to static, using the same settings copied from the dd-wrt router.
